I can see that it's been awhile since anything has been posted:) Leah continues to do well. It's been 11 months since she has been listed for a liver transplant. We are anxiously waiting. Hopefully soon. She will be 2 in a couple of months. Thank you to all who continue to have us in your prayers.

Patiently waiting for a call from Pittsburgh. We've only been listed for 4 months, but it seems so much longer then that. I guess it's because it is constantly on your mind.

People keep asking me what it's like to be on the waiting list for a new liver for Leah. It's really hard to explain. You keep going on with life because you can't stop and sit around hoping for a phone call, but the thought is constantly in the back of your mind. We know that God has the perfect timing for us (I wish we had some insight as to when that may be). We continue to wait patiently on his timing.

We all enjoyed some ice cream while at the cabin. Leah isn't able to have ice cream, but she can eat the cone. She loved the idea of holding onto the cone and eating it.

Leah enjoyed her 1st birthday. She didn't hesitate to dig into her low protein cake.

Leah Turns One

Leah turned one on August 3rd. We will be giving her a birthday party on Sunday. We have made it through her first year without another hospital stay. She continues to be very healthy and loves to eat. We will continue to monitor Leah's levels on a weekly basis to make sure she stays healthy.
We will be taking a break from the transplant list for 3 weeks when Leah has her yearly immunizations. We plan on taking a trip to the cabin during that time. It will be good to go and relax for a couple of days.
